Are you drinking the RIGHT water?

With the explosive development of bottled water we consumers are bombarded by choices of water to consume. But which one is the right water for me? The answer is simple. The body needs PURE, CLEAN water to thrive and survive. Unlike other drinks, water is a natural internal cleanser that removes toxins and free radicals from the body. So you want to drink the cleanest water available such as distilled water or water treated through reverse osmosis. In home Treatment systems are affordable and available at most home improvement stores. If you choose to drink distilled or Reverse Osmosis water you may want to add a few drops of Trace Minerals to every glass. However, the environmentally conscious should be warned that R.O. systems do waste several gallons of water during conversion.

Most bottled water is either spring water or purified water, which is fine to drink but be careful to avoid synthetic minerals added for taste. Any synthetic or chemically created minerals (or vitamins for that matter) are toxic for the body. But drinking water out of a plastic bottle presents a different danger because of the toxic chemicals that may be present and easily released into your drinking water. Never drink bottled water that has been left in a car for several hours. Extreme temperature changes can rapidly intensify these effects. Hence the creation of BPA free plastics. The safest way to transport your water is in stainless steal bottles. You also want to avoid aluminum containers.

Tap water is a silent killer containing all kinds of hazards including Chlorine, flouride, and parasites. You wouldn't drink bleach so why would you drink tap water? I know this is an extreme statement but the effects are the same accept that the reaction to bleach is immediate. Chlorine is made from bleach. Since we are discussing water, you may want to invest in a shower head dechlorinator and a dechlorinating bath ball. During bathing, Chlorine gets absorbed through the skin and a 20 minute shower can equal the effects of drinking an 8 ounce glass of tap water.

Some practitioners recommend KANGEN water or water that balances PH levels. This water may be great for a season however
you must KNOW your PH level first. Find out if you are acidic or alkaline. You want to be Neutral. Kangen water can help make an acidic environment neutral but you don't want to over do it and create a whole new concern by alkalizing the system. Kangen water can be a great temporary aid in balancing the body.

Well water offers the natural minerals that the body needs and can be a wonderful source of good clean water however the location of the well is important. If you live next to the County Landfill you wouldn't want to drink your well water. If you are concerned, have your well water tested.

Hopefully you now feel empowered on how to make the correct choice regarding your drinking water. Keep in mind the recommended amount of water to drink daily is half your body weight in ounces. So if you weigh 150lbs, you should be drinking 75 ounces of water. Happy drinking. -Tanisha
