Colonix aka Hyrdo Colon Therapy
If you haven't heard of Colonix, also known as Hydro Colon Therapy boy are you in for a treat. This is a process of intestinal cleansing that is recommended to have done with every changing season, so 4 times a year. I myself have had this uncomfortable cleansing done twice and must say it is not for the faint of heart. Although I think it is a very beneficial way to "clean out the plumbing" it is mildly painful at times and a bit invasive. But I believe the pros do outway the embarrassing cons and suggest having this done especially if you suffer from constipation, IBS or irregularity etc. etc. So here's the scoop....You undress from the waste down and put a drape over you (no big deal if your a chick, just like a gyn exam) then you get a tube inserted rectally that fills your small intestines up with water in an effort to clean it out. Fill and Empty several times within an hour as you watch last night's dinner and maybe 2 weeks ago's dinner flush out through a clear tube. Your abdomen swells to the appearance of 5 months pregnant with every water filling and you casually chat with the practitioner about the weather. Needless to say you feel renewed and emptied but beware of gas pains in the days to follow. Colonix can remove parasites, clear the complexion, eliminate toxic stool, prevent constipation and aid weight loss. If you are interested in getting this done (everyone should try this once) I recommend Christian Sharp in Severna Park - google her.

Confused about which Eggs to buy?
The USDA has very loose regulation on food safety and you will be quite surprized by these commonly accepted terms below as being completely organic and safe. The key is buy local from a farmers market or farmer if you can. Make sure the chickens are grass fed and roam freely in grass so they are eating all the good stuff in the dirt so they can lay the most nutrient filled eggs. OR get your own chickens and raise them in your backyard. Just two or three is all you need and what great fun for the kids!
"CAGE FREE The agriculture department says this means that the chickens were kept out of cages and had continuous access to food and water, but did not necessarily have access to the outdoors.
FREE RANGE The agriculture department says that in addition to meeting the cage-free standards, free-range birds must have continuous access to the outdoors, unless there's a health risk present. There are no standards, though, for what that outdoor area must be like. (A concrete lot could do.)
PASTURE-RAISED There is no regulation of this term, which implies hens got at least part of their food from foraging on greens and bugs...."

Can parasites effect me?
As American's we have this idea that certain diseases and concerns are reserved for third world countries and that belief is especially true for parasites. Parasites are THE most resiliant living organism on the planet and with the growth of technology and travel the world has gotten a lot smaller. With world travel and the Global influx of immigrants into the United States comes more then new cultures and languages. Parasites are becoming more and more a threat to our health. They can be exchanged the same way as a virus or flu with just a hand shake and can be microscopic. Parasites can also enter the human body through misquito bites or any bug bites, from pets, from lake water, foods and public surfaces. They are in my opinion the number one culprit to many of our unwanted symptoms. With a multiplying rate in the thousands, every 3 to 10 days new babies may be hatching inside of you and unfortunately go completely undetected by a medical doctor. Western Medicine does not recognize Parasites as a threat to our American society. A great show that airs on Animal Planet is called "Monsters Inside Me." It is eye opening to say the least. If you have some symptoms that doctors can't seem to figure out and prescriptions don't take away please come and see me. You will be amazed at what a Natural Health Consult can reveal about your health. 443-994-8473
