Here are some Essential Oils you will want to bring with you to those Cook outs, hikes in the park and picnic lunches.
To avoid misquito bites and ticks apply purification LIBERALLY all over exposed skin. You may want to use a carrier oil to make application smoother. Be sure to rub some purification on your scalp without a carrier oil to keep ticks away and also wear a hat when you are walking through a wooded area. Purification has citronella oil in it as well as others that smells wonderful to us but nasty to those summer bugs!
You also want to keep lavender close by to apply after a sunburn. No carrier oil is needed just gently rub it over the burned area. You want to do this once you are finished sunbathing for that day. As with ALL essential oils you do not want to have them on your skin while being exposed to direct extreme sunlight such as the pool or beach because they can actual burn your skin. But Lavender in the evening before bed after a sunburn is a God Sent!
And finally, treating heartburn or indigestion after a BBQ meal of hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, potatoe salad, water melon and cake.....have the peppermint in your purse ready to work its magic! Apply a few drops of peppermint in the palms of your hand and rub them onto your stomach and areas presenting gas pains or discomfort. It would also be wise to bring a few digestive enzymes and probiotics to ingest as well to aid your digestion.
